          PASTORAL SEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT

 

The membership of Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church is seeking a pastor, who will serve as a spiritual leader and advisor of the Church’s ministries. Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church was organized April 6, 1900, under the former name of Friendship Baptist Church. We are affiliated with the National Baptist and Florida General Baptist Conventions, Inc., and the Mount Zion Northeast Coast District Association. As Believers in Christ, our Mission is To Be A Church teaching the Word of Faith in Discipleship, Evangelism, Love, Fellowship, Ministry and Worship.

 

The applicant should be led by God, possess an emphasis on spiritual and physical growth of God’s Kingdom. Demonstrate the ability to counsel with considerate interpersonal skills while working effectively with all Church ministries and all age groups. This leader must have knowledge of the Baptist Doctrines, Articles of Faith, Covenant, and Code of Ethics and Policies.

 

The candidate will meet the minimum qualifications:

 

·         Licensed / ordained

·         Seminary training

·         Bachelors, Master’s and / or Doctoral Degree

·         Good moral and ethical conduct

·         Effective leader

·         Approachable

·         Critical thinking and writing skills for planning and implementing a vision for both the spiritual and physical growth of the Church.

·         Community involvement to increase and sustain membership

·         Five to twenty plus years of experience in the Ministry
